well i finally got my first sho! time to kick the 95 taurus gl to the curb! White on white 91 plus... . Anyway, now that im about to go pick up the car I need some tools to do the valve lash adjustment. Anyone know the best/cheapest place to rent the shims and tools? Anyone in the MD area want to go halfs on a rental some time soon? PM me if your interested!

Anyway, I am willing to lend my tools to you for just a deposit of what they cost me. As for the shims, I personally went in and checked all mine, planning on ordering the ones I needed and then going in again to replace them once I got them.

It's hard to find a shim kit it seems frown

JD, when you measured your clearances did it take you a long time to find the proper shims? are they expensive? I ask because i wont be driving the new car for about two months anyway. i have set aside this time to take car of all major maintenance before the car goes into daily driver duty...

I'm less than an hour from you. I've got all the tools to do a lash adjustment and a decent amount of shims. I've done 4 of these on my car and am pretty proficient with the technique by now.
