Howdy all. Brand new to the site, but have been lurking for a few days; ever since I bought my SHO last week.

I live in Dewey, AZ, but work in Phoenix.

I needed a cheap and comfortable car to commute in, and I looked at a bunch of older crown vics and then found my SHO. It has 111k miles, and is a Midwest car, so the paint and interior are nice, but there is just a bit of rust on the frame, but nothing on the exterior.

It needed sub-frame bushings, rear struts, and the AC was not working. Asking price was $2600, and I got it for $1700.

It has a bunch of rattles, the HVAC buttons are broke, and it idles rough, but it really is a fun car to drive.

I bought new KYB GR2 struts, new rear stabalizer bar end-links, and changed fluids.

But, I still haven't decided what to do about the sub-frame bushings.

My local Ford dealer has no clue what part number to order for the stock replacements, so I have no idea how to compare the cost of the stock units versus aluminum ($110).

Anybody know how much the stock rubber bushings cost? How about installed? I work at a Nissan dealership, so my shop rate is $65 an hr.

Welcome. Wow, you have quite a commute to work every day. As far as the bushings go, I have a set of aluminum ones that I'll sell you for 110, AND we can put them in your car at my shop on the 1st of October when we have the AZ SHO Club get together.

What color is your car? Post up some pics when you get a chance.

You should dyno the buggy to see how much power it's really making while it's on the rev limiter.

Travis,

If evrything works out I'll be at the meet at Dooleyville and I have a 95 MTX w/103K so we could compare cars/notes and plus if Tom doesn't have something for the cars....Ford didn't make one!...lol

EATC buttons are broke??? Are you sure you got a '95. It takes some good abuse to break the '95 buttons.
