Well, since we are heading toward extreme weight reduction, do you have any other tricks up your sleeve? Are you looking for the first 3500 pound SHO?

I mean... sure I thought it was amusing that you decided to boost the stock motor until it popped... but you won’t **** yourself blowing a motor...

Messing with the structural integrity of the calipers to fit different size wheels is some back ass honda shit that will potentially fail on you... at the worst time...

But yea.. I’m skeptical..

That's actually a defined goal of mine to go for 3500lbs, but this wasn't for weight reduction, it was to fit 17" wheels.

Ah, yeah and it was amusing to watch you struggle for 11's when I did that my first outing too! Guess we all have our own humor!

To get down to 3500, I would guess that carbon fiber panels will be required. And let’s not be coy, those 17’s will help overall weight, and more importantly unsprung weight.

Do you have a certain drag radial in mind? I believe those pesky GTR’s are running 17’s at the strip right? Maybe you could “borrow” some ingenuity from them?

As the car sits I should be way under 3500lbs already, but considering no motor that isn't too fancy. Knowing the curb weight of the car in it's most stripped down when I ran 11.08 and what I have done since then, plus a couple other things it should be close achievable. I'll try and at this point I don't really care too much about tearing up the car oh so many others are so sentimental about so full send baby lol

Push and pull baby. I don't go at anybody without a reason. 1 reply 1 response. Can't be thinking you're that special for more?

Hahahahaha ok buddy. I do think I struck a nerve.. I wish you the best Ricky Bobby.

Meant to ask previously, but what color paint did you use? I'm guessing VHT SP402 Burnt Copper?

Hey it’s pretty common to shave the calipers down to fit smaller wheels. I think it’ll be fine and mission accomplished on fitting a 17, going with the smallest and lightest wheels possible
Yup, did it on my Evo back in the day. Yes...I actually shaved down those gorgeous Brembos, lol...hey, I did what had to be done. Tbh, it wasn't very much, and I was able to find some matching high temp Brembo red paint. Was able to get the rims I wanted to fit and ran it at the track for a long time...never once had an issue.

It's OEM nissan burnt orange. Had a buddy order it for me through o'reilly's. Same stuff on the GTRs errr or the juke rather but from a spray can! LOL
