I need a little help, identifying wires. I have the JBL wiring diagrams, and I pretty much know all that but thats not what I need. I need to know what wires are for what on the JBL sub amp.I have searched thru pages but found no sure answers.
There is a yellow and red wire going out of the sub amp into a connector, what is the yellow wire for, and the red wire for? I believe the yellow is battery power, but the red?
Then there is the wires that go in from the black amp to the sub amp, 1 black shielded, 1 clear shielded, and 1 bare,I know 1 is positive, 1 is negative, and 1 is remote power, but which is which?
Last here was my idea,I know this has been done before I'm sure. I installed a Pioneer cd headunit and bypassed the factory amp wiring, by using the speaker bypass harness in the dash,it works great, and all the speakers play fine, but that left me with no subs. I don't need alot of bass or power to be happy, but I was wondering if I could use the pioneers preouts and remote power wire and tap into the factory JBL sub amp and keep my factory subs?
