So I have a 93 SHO w/ Premium sound and I think it sounds like crap so I pulled the JBL sound out of my parts car (92 SHO) and went to install it. First I put in the four main speakers, then installed the sub, then I took out the premium amp and put in the two JBLs and the little black box w/ the red sticker on it. After all that I started hooking up all of the connections starting with the one going to the black amp, then the one going from the black amp to the silver amp, then hooked up the wires from the black box. The only problem I had is the yellow and black wire coming off of the black box had a different connection then what the connection that went to the corner of the trunk so I spliced some wires so I "think" that should work. After everything was hooked up the radio lights up but no sound... So it makes me wonder if the black amp isn't shot, or my wire job on the one connection didn't work. Either way, I'm loosing gas milage cause I have no music so I'm always making my motor make up for the sound! Well if anyone knows what is going on I would be a happy man! Thanks

What are you running for a Head Unit? If it is not the correct head unit, the system will not work.

Oh, I have the stock head unit in it. It "looks" the same as the ones in the JBL cars. So are the radios actually different?

That, sir, I believe is your problem. There are several different wire plugs in the back of the radio. Most likely they are not connected because it is the wrong radio. Try swapping the headunits for the proper one.
