As some of you know, i threw one of my Diff pins.....
which as you know, causes' bad things for the case.... well i think i might have lucked out...
i was only doing, 10mph when it happened.... so, the hole, if you want to call it that, is not even that big. its more like, it "pushed through the case.
Were the pin hit, it just pushed the case out, but still made a hole.. this hole is about the size of a dime. the only reason there is a hole there now, is because i pushed the rest of the metal through. that way i could see how big the actual hole was.
Now that i can see it, i think that it can be salvaged. but i was wondering if i could use JB weld on it. or if i should take it somewere to get it welded.... remember that it is aluminum... so its got to be welded by an aluminum welder....
But if i can go get some JB, and fix it, then i will do that....
then i can have an extra case/ and half a transmission lying around. (need Diff)
But if i cant use the JB on it, what else could i use. the hole is very small, but its still a hole. with it being this small, i wouldnt want to through it away, just because of that....
Any suggestions??

Get it welded, but shop around for a good welder that knows how to weld aluminum.

I had a pressure plate strap fail at the track and it tried to saw the tranny in half. The case needs to be clean, too.

Yeah get it welded. You can prep it by cleaning it with a stainless steel wire brush till the area around it is super clean. Must be stainless brush. It would be faster to use one on a grinder. Also make sure theres not a trace of oil near the weld area.
