Greetings everybody. I used to be very active on here 10+ years ago.

Long story short, sometime in early 2010 a friend blew up his turbocharged gen 1 and I purchased the setup off him and anticipated a rather quick swap. Things went sideways. One year became 2, two became 5..... During this time being active in the SHO community was depressing because my baby was sitting in pieces so I focused on other hobbies...

Monday Night, my 90 was brought home. Turbo'd, running and assembled. Still needs a tune, but i'll deal with that over the winter. I honestly can't even remember all the things I did to this since I got this about 20 years ago....but the list is extensive. Almost 30 years old...and in really good shape. Has some minor rust in the typical spots, but i'll take care of that in the near future and turn her into a garage queen.

This SHO has been in my family since new. Originally purchased by my dad, I received it around 2000 when I turned 16.

Nice to see a well taken care of white Gen1! I can't really see the interior. What color are the seats? Have any under hood pics?

I’ll post some interior and engine pictures in the next few days as I get some time to clean up the dust. It’s black. Other than a saggy sunroof control panel and some minor wear on the drivers side bolster...she’s mint.

I’ll have to double check....but I don’t think there are more than 120,000kms on it.

I've been to busy (and it's been to cold) to do the interior detail.....but here's some interior pictures. As you can see...the interior is just about perfect. some minor wear on the bolster...and a dash lit up with warning lights like a Christmas tree

That's normal. When I last drove my 91+ 1.5 years ago, it had ABS, Door AJAR, and an intermittent Airbag light on. The clutch and the AC took a dump on me in the same day. I'm taking the time to build the engine and redo everything that needed attention.

Well, the dash is all lit up because I still have the stock ECU with the turbo....so its not happy, but I wont be driving it until the spring so i'll deal with it then.

Soooo......getting it running over the winter turned into a year, then two....then five My kids kept asking about when they get to go for a ride in it, and combined with a mild case of turning 40 and wanting to treat myself... i've pulled the trigger on some major work.

I had a couple guys come over the years to plug into it and attempt to tune it. Nothing would work. So off to a local motorsports shop in late November 2024 after years of calling around for somebody to rescue this from my garage. Almost five years to the day it came home from the first "9 year turbo project". They are going to address some of the "homemade hacks" on the original set up and build something that i am hoping will be one of the most impressive first gen's around.

here's some pics of it on the flat deck and in the shop. Hoping to share some dyno numbers in the near future and in the spring hit get it on the road and drive around with my wife (we started dating almost immediately after I got it in 2000) and our kids.

If you need further help with the tuning you might give Adam Marrer with Pops Racing a try. He tuned my SC 95 a few years back. Still needs a final tune to tweek some things but that's because there were issues with the car that didn't come to light until after it was up and running. He tunes remotely and spent all day with me making sure it was good to go. Highly recommended.

I'm in the same boat as you. My 91+ that I referenced up above is still sitting waiting for me to get caught up with other projects. I've bought and sold at least 12-15 other SHOs in the time that it's been sitting. My plans for it keep getting bigger and bigger.
