Greetings! I just purchased a gorgeous 1993 SHO to replace my Explorer Sport that was destroyed in the Eaton Canyon fire last week. My brother and I lost our house in Altadena, and everything else except for our two cats and a few clothes. But life goes on!

I owned a 1990 SHO from '96 to '01 and loved it. I've always regretted selling it, and now I have another one. Woo-hoo! It's my 107th vehicle, and hopefully my last. My poor old back just won't let me do the car magic anymore.

Anyway, glad to be here!

So sorry for your loss. Really terrible what happened. Are you planning to rebuild or move on?

Great looking car! Where did you find it? ATX or MTX?

The car looks great. Hope that you can get back to normal quickly after that devastating loss.

Thanks, Chad! Not sure if rebuilding will be possible, as no decision has been made on allowing the toxic land to be reused. Some structures were well over 100 years old and full of asbestos, lead, etc. We shall see.

The SHO is an ATX, and was very well maintained. The only real issue is the non-working wipers. Once I purchase some tools, I will get that taken care of. The car passed the smog test easily yesterday.

Piggy backing on another Chad, it appears, so consider me Chad2 in congratulating you on your acquisition (quite the find!) and offering condolences on the loss of everything else. As an owner of two cats ironically, I'm glad the fur babies made it through ok!
If, like so many other California residents, your new plans find you headed for Idaho with the cats and the new SHO, look me up. I'm also a realtor, and would be happy to help you try to find a new place to call home if that is the direction you decide to head. In the meantime, enjoy car #107 - talk about alot of stories that could be told, I'm sure!

I might hit you up in a couple of months. I've been working a deal on my last ever SHO for a couple of years now and it looks like it finally might happen. If so I'll be driving thru Boise on my way back to Nashville.
