Too busy...
Okay. I got the engine in my car yesterday and everything hooked up except the exhaust. I went to hook up the battery and as soon as I did, I could hear a buzzing sound (like the old stove timers kind of) from the trunk area. At first I thought it was the fuel pump because the tank is empty but it turned out to be the box for the keyless entry. I spent half an hour going through all the electrical connections that I had already triple checked and still couldn't find anything wrong. I finally tried starting it even with the box buzzing. All the lights turn on and the fuel pump runs, turn it to crank, connection somewhere goes pop and everything goes dead. Battery didn't have enough juice so I charge it and it fires right up. All the while, the box buzzes away. The only way to stop it is to disconnect the battery. That seemed to be the only problem so I decided to just unplug it. When I went to unplug the first plug, it snapped off the board edge or whatever that it plugs in to. The buzzing, which I could feel, didn't stop until the second connector was unplugged. Does anyone have any idea what the heck was causing the buzzing? It's a 90 by the way.
