Island Dragway

I'm just curious to see if anyone in the PA-NJ-NY area will be heading to island dragway in great meadows, NJ this sunday. I'm goin down with a few friends, and I'd like to race a SHO or two with my 14 second camaro.

i was there a coupla weekends ago at a test and tune its not as kool as it used to be alot of stupid bickering between the rednecks and other people plus the track condition has gotten even crappier than when i had my SHO...i guess this is why i dont drag race anymore but to each his own

NO SHO!!! You didn't miss much though... It was like 95* with like 70% or so humidity EVERYTHING was running crappy. I was running 14.9-15.4 all day. I did, however beat a mazdaspeed 6 twice, and I almost beat a CTS-V that was running 15's all day. I had some awesome 60 ft times though... 2.02's consistently on street tires.

hmmm my 89 would handle a camaro very well! but it needs an axle and mufflers sooo maybe later!

Not in that weather you wouldn't When WS6 trans am's are in the 14's, and 10 second cobras are in the 12's... Stock mtx sho's would probably be up around 15.4-15.7
