You may already know about my motor mount troubles. At first it was the top bolt which had somehow fallen out. I replaced it but i can tell that the engine is not being held down by the front mount. Im getting tq and a shiny spot on the intake, just like a broken front mount. The mount is a SHOnut reinforced mount. What i wanna try and do is 1)Take off the nut that holds the mount to the frame. Jack up the engine like im gonna change it, then i wanna see if i can move it with my hand at all to see if i can find where its loose. Im also thinking that if i leave it bloted in and just jack up the motor just a hair, maybe i can see where its loose. I know it sounds kinda dumb, but i dont know what else to do. Any suggestions are welcome.

Visually inspect the bolts on the block and the subframe. You want to make sure they are in there and tight. Next you want to check the rear motor mount. It will also give you a shiny spot on the intake, infact so will the tranny mount. I have a new front motor mount, but if I'm moving and give the car gas I can feel the engine lift and then sit back down when I let off. My rear mount is in two pieces. frown
