I'm signed up to see what you discover in your travels through Livernois & SHO history, pintony! There's always tidbits and facets hidden in the rough, waiting for someone to bring them to light :) But definitely ask away!

Thanks SHOdded,
I am thinking that waiting until the Gateway Motorsports park in Madison Illinois re-opens to get a baseline for my Shodog and go from there...

Any exhaust mod will alter sound. We do not recommend catless exhaust for drivers, because nobody wants their $45k car to smell like raw fuel. For the 1-3 hp difference and no fuel smell go race-catted.

FACT: Snow kits are more of a universal type kit using add on alky resovoirs(for example). If u want a kit that looks like it was OEM,it will take a bit of "custom" work and not following the instructions exactly.

Alky Control kits are MADE to look OEM. Most time using the windsheild washer resovoir as the meth tank. If you want a kit that looks like it's an OEM install, simply follow the instructions!!!!

I've been using methanol injection for close to 15 years, back when there were only 1 kit maker for the masses(SMC)no kits would handle 100% meth, and no progressive controllers so they were a bitch to tune out the rich bog when the alky hit.

I run alky kits on both my GN's(Alky Control),my Cummins(Snow MPG Max kit)and my Mercedes(Coolingmist).

I've installed several Alky Control,Snow,Coolingmist, and Devils Own kits over the years......and I am biased towards Alky Control for a reliable kit that looks OEM and performs flawlessly under all kinds of conditions, and is easy to use, install, and maintain.
Ok, I accept your fact. But that still doesn't mean you cannot install a snow kit to look OEM. So most Alky kits are made to use the windshield reservoir as the tank, what's the point? A snow kit can do the exact same thing. There's nothing that says only Alky kits can use the windshield reservoir as a meth tank.

I'm not saying both kits are equal as controls can vary greatly but look the same visually. My statement is the same and still true as nothing you've stated says otherwise. The Snow kits can also be installed to blend with the car. It's all a matter of how much effort someone takes to install it in their vehicle.

It's not a ******* match saying anything about the performance of either kit or which is better/worse. It's simply answering the poster's question and adding the FACT that both kits can be installed to look OEM if one wants. The OEM look isn't something that can only be achieved with the Alky kit.

^^^^

Do you or have you ever run alky on any car??

It's very tricky to take an add-on aftermarket part and make it look as if it were OEM installed, almost impossible.

The reasoning for us using our Alky kits is that the pumps, seals and internals of each kit is just made to a better level. Like I stated earlier, we have tried every configuration and brand out there...ALL have failed at some point. These kits are the only ones that we have no issues with. We have not just dev vehicles but also client vehicles with this kit installed for YEARS without error. That really is a feat for parts that come in contact with corrosive materials constantly.

"Livernois Avenue was named after Francis Livernois, a French farmer who resided in the area during the 18th century." Wonder is Francis modified his wagons with any tunes or meth for his horse! :nut:
