That's funny I just put new Kappa's in my SHO yesterday. Much better. I have the JBL components. Just look at them. They're crap. Pull the covers off the rear deck and look at those. The magnets are about the size of a thick nickel.

When I first got my 95 MTX (back in 97), the first thing I did was add Infinity Kappas (the green ones) all around. Even with the stock radio and amps, the sound improvement was huge. I have since replaced the stock cassette/cd deck and amps, but I am still running the Kappas. They still sound smooth.

Yes it is worth it...although I'm not a huge fan of Infinity...not the best mid bass response and they blow quickly. I install car audio systems at a local best buy and let me tell you, if you ever get ambitious, spend the $$$ and get MB Quart components...you will love every red cent you put into those things. Just a thought.

I agree with the midbass comment as well as the nondistorting one. Probably related. I don't want subs thumping but I do need a fuller bottom end. I was thinking about adding some kicker rmb8" 's in the front and maybe the back. Might even use the crappy jbl woofers that aren't doing anything under the 6x8"'s in the back.

Infinity Perfect components up front (5.25") and Infinity Perfect 5 by 7's in the rear. Kenwood excelon DB series 12" in a sealed box (less then 1 cubic foot for TIGHT bass not thump) as well as a JBL 8" Sub in a sealed box for mid bass. All powered by an Adcom 4702 2 channel amp with an active 6 channel network.
