Just replaced my plugs, wires and ignition coil on my 93 ATX. Car starts and idles fine, but I can't press ******* the accelerator to get out into traffic. The car just bogs down. I can press down slowly and the car will accelerate, but thats it. Someone said the ignition coil was probably bad. I have now gone through 4 of them(Autozone-CarQuest) some seemed better than others but not right. I kept the original(so happy to have spare parts) then I dropped it and broke half the connectors, I know dummy. Any help would be great.

Have you checked to see if the timing belt jumped a tooth or two? That would cause power issues, me thinks.

Also, scanning for codes might help as well.

its fairly rare for a coil to fail on a v6 sho. I would suspect the DIS first

OK, but the car was running ok before I did that. I mean the plugs were old and a few of the wires were frayed, but you could accelerate. I also replaced the battery at the same time. I know SHO's are finicky but its just the battery right?

Have you cleaned your MAF lately? If not, I suggest you unplug it to see if the problem persists. If the car responds, buy some MAF cleaner and clean it.
