SHO Driver
I have a 94 sho atx, and I need a COLD AIR INTAKE. Not a short ram, not a ram air, a COLD AIR. Anyone know where I can get one?

Has no one done a write up on building your own? It couldn't be that difficult I know we GP guys do it all the time.![]()
Steps for getting a CAI:
Buy Ford Taurus SHO
Open Hood
Follow path for intake
See that intake pulls from inside the fender already
Drink beer and realize you already have a CAI
Too many people confuse CAI for WAI or Open Intake.
Lets take the SHOshop setup JedHead has for example...if you notice it is basically an open filter intake. The filter then has a huge can/shroud covering it. It mates up against the fender where the hole is from the factory setup. Then a "cone" is bolted inside the fender. So air is pulled from the fender, through the cutout, through the now enclosed filter into the engine.
Now lets examine a stock SHO setup. There is an airbox with a panel filter. The airbox mates up to the fender where there is a cutout. Inside the fender is a "horn" that people remove. So air is pulled from the fender, through the cutout, through the enclosed filter into the engine.
:swing:
So the stock intake has no restriction in it, and no one would benefit from an aftermarket or straight through design?

Seriously , did you even read what everyone said?
Perhaps you should open up your airbox to see how its made , because even if theres 20 people saying it , I dont think you are believing anything thats being said here.
basically what everyone is trying to tell you is that our cars already come with one and all you should ever need to do is rip out the intake horn muffler and drop a k&n panel filter in.
These aren't honda's so "cold air intakes and headers/exhaust" aren't the first "mods" you do.
if you are looking for that then go buy one.
