new idea maybe hlp

Can I turbo FE3?
Yes. Turbo FE3s produce huge amounts for hp. They are capable of over 500hp with a turbo. One guy had his FE3-T runnig 11s 1/4mile times.

Where do I get FE3?
Check with your local Japanese Engine Imports. Also there are avaible in Colorado at a place called All Japanese Engines
Ph: 303-234-9528
They should be able to souce one. But make sure its complete.

guees ill get this its mazda dohc for probe straight from japan said with turbo produces 500 plus but the sho will donate parts seats ect manly interior unless u guys dont agree its 1100 to buy and have it sent here lemme know asap

Oh, its doable. ****, bring it down here and I will stuff about anything you want into it. (454 ;) )
Also, I was going to swap in a SHO driveline into my 91 Vulcan powered Probe, but sold it to make room for more SHO's :bonk:

Whoa, slow down! First off, we don't even know what is wrong with the 2.2 yet anyway. There's no point in fixing that if we're going to rip the engine out anyway. If we are planning to fix the 2.2, we need to do it and sell that engine for project funding. After all, only SHO's and SHO transplants are allowed in FSHOC. :)
Now, the biggest problem we are running into thus far is the fact that this would be a much easier project if we had the Vulcan/5-speed combo on our hands, because the 3.0 SHO motor mates directly to that transmission and basically the hardest part is fabbing mounts. This is still completely doable (ask Chris...) but we'd have to swap over a whole new motor/tranny assembly and figure out how to mount it all. However, be not discouraged because I've contacted a guy that currently has a Vulcan but really wants a GT instead. So it maybe possible to work out a trade with him... I will keep you all posted when I hear back from him. This would cut down on fabbing issues and time severely if you think about it. Besides, what fun are atx's anyway... huh Matt? :p
So my vision of this car is something low, loud, and mean, and a SHO-killer itself. Personally I'd like to strip it to bare minimum accessories, throw on a coilover kit and some bigger sway bars, a CF hood, an actual functional loud and obnoxious exhaust, paint it black with some type of nod to FSHOC on it somewhere, and tint the windows dark. I'm seeing either stripped or very lightweight interior (gut the back and just throw some cheap light-weight racing seats in the front). I want it to still look pretty nice but haul major a$$, which it should with your basic bolt-on mods and of course because of the weight factor.
So there ya go. :thumb:

White car, black interior. It's at my house right now, where it will remain until the 20th when hopefully me and Nick will be done fixing it for him. It's got quite a few little issues to sort out, but nothing too terrible. Something for which he owes me big time. I picked the car up for him, he came down and saw it Sunday.

If this is the FSHOC sponsered car...it needs a SHO driveline...period. :thumb: Mounts are easy, as long as you can weld  We need the vulcan tranny, halfshafts. When I did belong to a probe forum, they said the subframes were interchangeable and all the mounts were the same. But most of them were little 16 year old kids that did not even know how to change their oil. I am sure we can find a POS 3.0 somewhere and use it only for the driveline parts we need.

V8 in the trunk, front wheel drive. Yeah, it's expensive and totally unecessary. So what?

If it's going to be partially a show car, we need it to look nice. I'll look into some 24"...err..17" rims for it. I get cheap tires for myself because mommy works for Tire Centers Incorporated. I'll see if I can get some good tires for this one. (I'm on a set of Michilin Z rateds, that apparently go for almost 200 a piece, and I got them dirt cheap).

Obviously, in a couple months, whenever those of you better with engines get done.

Legally I can't do anything with it. I was just throwing that out there as an option. I'll let you know what the guy says. If you want to do something with it in the meantime, you can come get it...

What is this supposed to say?!?

And is this your Probe we are working on or did you sign it over to Tara or another rep. from the FSHOC. The way you are talking does not have me want to throw in my hard earned time and money if you are still very attached to it.

Not trying to knock your price down (I have way too many cars at the moment to be interested in it anyways) but I sold a perfectly running 91 V6 MTX for $600.

I'm wasn't trying to get on your case...I was just unsure who's car this was in the first place. With you as the owner and not many of us knowing you, it is hard for alot of people to justify putting alot of time and money into it for it to be sold to the highest bidder after it is all said and done.
My idea for a club project car is something all the members can enjoy, kinda like a track car. When we do a track day everyone can take part in the money and effort they put into it. And if/when it is sold, the money benifits the entire club.

We could write up a contract at our next meet stating that you are still the owner but without the consent of the club, the car cannot be sold, or we could transfer title to Tara or Nick and make up a similar contract. That way everyone who attends can witness it and should have no problems lending a hand and some $$$ to get it up and running.

Tara, lets taks a vote on what to do to the car. Gather all the ideas and we can start a poll. If this is the official club car, it needs to have its fate determined by the club, but as stated in the thread about joining, it must have a SHO motor, minimum. The possibilities are endless if we can raise enough $$$.

So if there are some more suggestions, bring 'em so we can start a poll. We probably need to do the voting over AIM or something so it is liminited to only the FSHOC members. Also, now is the time to pay your dues if you have not if you would like to participate in the official voting.
