So we picked up a 91+ from Michael (kubeanie18) this afternoon and he and I ended up going to a used car lot to look at a 95 mtx he was thinking about purchasing. After unsuccessfully attempting to get the guy the budge on the price ($5,000!?!?), we decided to go next door to see what they had. Thanks to Michael, FSHOC now has a project car!

Basically this was a whim and we are encouraging ideas for the car. It will be "sponsored" by FSHOC, meaning I'll keep it here and anyone is welcome to throw in parts, money, labor, whatever, to get it somewhere... and after it's all said and done we will come up with a creative paint job and FSHOC sponsorship package and it'll be the official club car for shows, racing, conventions, what have you.
There is no time frame planned for this car, it will be worked on whenever any of us can put anything into it. Feel free to contribute as you like. We do have a lot of spare parts here and there, and do definitely plan to swap in a SHO motor, whether it be a 3.2 or 3.0. What we really need to begin with is brain power. Suggestions, ideas, anything is welcome.
As it stands it has the 2.2 turbo motor and automatic transmission. The motor has a pretty bad knock to it and burns some oil, but it made it the 20 minute highway trip to my house from the car lot with no real driving issues. It has operable suspension control (soft or hard), all the lights function, the AC works. It does not have a radio or speakers. The body is in good condition with the exception of a small dent in the rear bumper. It had not been driven in about a year so there was a lot of crap blowing out of the exhaust, but overall it sounds good other than the knock.
So.... here ya go guys, whatcha wanna do with it? :corn:

Pics aren't working Tara, what kind of car is it?

And what's up with the 91+?

EDIT: I went to the FSHOC picture directory and it worked for me there, maybe some kind of problem with the links?

Looks nice, should make a fun project car! :thumb:

AWWW I was hoping we could do my GL

I don't have any parts but maybe I could give away the front MOOG Cargo coils since I might swap'em out for SHO springs to lower the frontend.

Actually I probably shouldn't have mentioned the 91+. It has nothing to do with the Probe GT project. I'm going to get that one running over the next week or two and it will most likely be Matt's.

when and if its done will it be practical to use? or crusher time?
alot of work will have to be done to make that happen, machine tools.
my friends son has one identical, I looked and its tight with the four&turbo
and even tighter in the front bumper area, no room for nada.
sorry if I was a lil too frank, maybe im all wrong?

I think he still works on it. There's more than one SHO/Probe project going on, and I get them confused.

Was the 95 MTX the red one on Autotrader? How's the mileage and condition?
