Hey y’all. Just got a 2016 Taurus SHO today.

Joined the forums in hopes of learning more about the car itself and what mods are available.

Here’s the first picture I got of her

I’ll list some of the questions I have to get this going

1) are there boost gauges available specifically for the SHO or are there ones that work?

2) what’s the stock boost most SHOs push?

3) is there a way to view oil temp, oil pressure, trans temp, and coolant temp? I ask this because my previous car (2017 Dodge Journey) had these pages available

4) what exhaust systems are available that don’t make this sound like a fart can?

5) are there trans tunes / ways to remove limiters? If so, how?

Anyways, thank you in advance for any help or answers!!

Welcome! to answer some of your questions
1: stock boost is 10-12 psi
2: Get a livewire TS to view your boost, trans temp, ect
3: The TS will give you what you need to load a real tune from any SCT tuner (skip SSI). This is all but LMS and you will thank me later. Your tuner will set your tans shift to their tune
4: Exhaust catted down pipes are good but the cars have a known drone and rasp if you go cattless and take out the mufflers and 3rd cat. Save your money on an exhaust and CAI unless it's a EPP intake. You will only need the intake if you plan to build bigger power later (over 450 WHP).
5: basic power pack ( Tuner (TS) plugs, T stat and a 93 tune) are the gateway to what you want and the base for all the other stuff needed to make more power. Most 93 tunes wake these cars up a LOT!
Enjoy your new whip!

Do you know how to pick which PID/OBDs from config files I can actually see on the livewire? I sent the ones from the tuner(s) to the device, but I can’t figure out how to change what shows on the “gauges”…Or do I have to make a separate custom config file and only add the ones I want to see to make sure they’re selected?

you can set it up to show only one or up to 9 at a time. I have 9 and if you just tap the space twice you can change what you see by scrolling up or down. All of the tuners config items can be a choice. if you just tap it once your can reset all the hi/lows from the start of the last startup.
