I got mine here a few months ago. They shipped pretty fast.

I bought a set from these guys in the middle of August through an ebay auction. I just got a refund on them a few days ago as they never arrived (supposedly lost in shipping), and they claimed they couldn't get more until October. They do have another auction on ebay now, so...who knows. In any case, I don't have springs after ordering from these guys almost a month ago.

Jegs and Summit often order in batches to get the costs down. So waiting isn't all that uncommon. $216 from drivewire isn't bad considering you might get free shipping.

I got my second set of Intrax springs yesterday. $175 shipped to my door new in the box from a fellow SHOer who sold his car before he got the springs installed, but I have a installation question.

There is a obvious difference in how the rear springs are wound, so there must be a top and a bottom. My first set came already mounted on a set of Koni's, so my questions is which way is up on the rear springs.

IIRC, the writing goes face up. i'll check my pics before install and let you know for sure.

Yeah, by looking at the front springs when they are installed the writing is upside down.

Excuse me for robbing this photo, but the rear spring would be correctly installed with the writing also upside down as shown in this photo.

Here is the photo that I was talking about.

Are these springs on correct or upside down?

Thanks again for any help. :)

I'm having a hard time imagining why it would matter as long as the spring seats adequately.

In the pic it looks like the spring is seated nicely at both the perch and the mount. Looks like a fine way to do it to me.

You are probably right and it doesn't matter, but with my luck I don't want to put the spring in upside down and find out later that I screwed up.

Yeah, sorry to have stolen your photos, but it did help resolve my problem/question.

Thanks a bunch. :thumb:

not a problem at all.

btw, i'm not really sure what happened, but i must have snapped that pic and then dis / reassembled the struts. i double-checked the installation this weekend while i was working on the car. fronts are a given, writing upside-down. rears are actually installed the opposite of the photo, writing right-side up.

i haven't noticed anything odd about the ride back there...but it does sit a bit lower than i was expecting...i doubt the orientation of the spring could cause height differences, but does anyone really know for sure which way these are supposed to go, and what the effects of a reverse installation might be?

fun, fun, fun.
