Lurking
Ok, so I've been noticing an intermittent leak coming from what appears to be the front seal area. (on my 99).
Some days I will drive it, and it will leak about a fist sized puddle, some days, like today, it won't leak at all.
The trans was rebuilt in 2010 by AAMCO (I wouldn't suggest them to my worst enemy ,but wasn't my car at the time), and only has 3200 miles on it.
Yesterday, I put it on jackstands and let it run, put it in gear, held the rpms at 3000 for 3 minutes or so, and no leak. I took it off the jackstands, drove it around the block, and it leaked, and then stopped after about 30 seconds.
I would assume if it WAS the front seal, it wouldn't be intermittent like this? I drove it 25 miles on the highway to work today and not a drop coming from it when I got to work....
Any Ideas?
