Hey guys, been awhile since I actually had a question, but here goes.

93 MTX...

Lately mine's been acting alittle odd. First off, before any symptoms presented itself, I would occasionally get the CEL come on for a couple seconds on a high speed WOT shot down the highway(usually top of 3rd gear). It would go out pretty quickly, and, as I said, no hiccup, misfire, or anything.

More recently, the car would hiccup once under partial throttle acceleration, or feathering, with no CEL. This would typically be cruising in traffic, in 2nd or 3rd, between 20-40 mph. This has happened maybe 4 or 5 times in the last 2 months.

Lastly...the car has always had an intermittently-lopey idle. It would only do it once the car was warmed up, and it would only last about 20 seconds AFTER the cooling fans would shut down. Lately, though, once it's warmed up, it seems to lope much harder, and it will alternate between lopey and smooth, about every 10 seconds(when it wants to do this, anyway).

I ran the codes early last week, and the only code was "Cylinder ID circuit failure", I believe 214, which is cam sensor...

These symptoms fit, from anyone's experience?

I haven't cleaned the TB, MAF, or IAC in the almost 2 years I've owned the car, which I plan to handle this weekend.

The cylinder identification (CID) a.k.a. cam sensor can cause engine misfire problems. I am not sure about the lopey idle, but if you received the CID sensor code, change it and see what symptoms are resolved.
