Hello,
I've had this intermittent issue pretty much since I bought the car a few years ago. I initially thought one or both Oxygen sensors were going bad but now not sure. What will happen occasionally is the CEL light will come on while driving, and the engine will lose power and run very rough. It's as if it's running on 3 cylinders, with much misfiring. This usually only happens in hot weather, and after the car has been driven for a while. Once the car rests for a bit it runs normal next time. Like I said this doesn't happen all the time, but has kinda been getting worse as the months go by. I'm stumped!
Any ideas?
I ran the codes and got this:
111 - System Checks OK
214 - (Memory Code) - Error in Cylinder ID (CID) circuit or signal - Ignition Systems
225 - (Running) - Knock sensor not tested (ignore if not pinging) - KS
538 - (Running) System did not receive "goose" test
I' trying to get this figured out by next month to make sure I pass emissions, wouldn't want it to start acting up while it's being tested :laugh_ti:
Thanks guys!
