My 94 sho with 113k sometimes will start and then stall almost instantly. Then while cranking it will act like a dead battery(and crank slow) and you have to turn the ignition on and off once or twice. It will then crank better but I have to hold the accelerator down to get it to start. once started it runs fine. Local dealers and mechanics are stumped and so am I. Has any one experienced this and do you have some advice.

Thanks
Ed

If not a weak battery, it could be a corroded or loose connection of one of the battery cables at the battery, starter or starter solenoid.

I had that problem when my starter was on it's way out. I ignored it thinking it was something little until one day I came out of the store, tried to start it and it wouldn't even crank. I ended up pushing it to a hill, hopping in and popping the clutch in order to get it to start.

Good luck, hope this helped
