Hello all,
Have a 94 MTX with an intermediate shaft that keeps sliding out of the trans about 1/4 inch and the proceeds to drop fluid all over my driveway. When I changed the clutch I had attempted to epoxy the bearing back into the bracket that bolts to the back of the engine block. That however did not last long. I have another used shaft, but I have a small oil leak from either the rear valve cover or the cam seals which is causing oil to drop onto the bearing and bracket. I don't want to waste another intermediate shaft that will probably suffer the same fate. Does anyone know of a way to anchor the bearing into the bracket that will be oil resistant until I can get around to rip off the valve cover and get to some seals?
Thanks,
