So, now that I have these sweet Gen 1 black full leather seats... nothing else matches. I'm kinda sad about that.

:frown: <---- Me being sad about this.

So I want to go ahead and paint the plastics black. I'll track down a dash and carpet and door panels later, or do something custom. All the same, does anyone have any recommendations on what products to use to get this done? I'm planning on painting/ dying the plastic trim all around the interior, the headliner, the console (I've only seen like 1 92' center console in black. Ever.), and maybe the door panels to see if I like the idea of 2 tone door panels.

Thanks in advance.

There's 2-3 threads about it. Do a little search.

VHT vinyl dye does also a great job. Summit got that in-store (not online.)

im actually painting my interior on my 87 bronco right now just got done doing the doors. im using dupli color interior paint picked it up at a local auto parts store. its coming out pretty nice seems like a good product. heads up tho get ready to do a lot of taping off and sanding its a tedious process and takes a lot of time between coats. if you want it to come out clean and looking good take your time or itll just look like ass. honestly if i were you and had the money i would just buy or track down panels and what not from a black int. SHO it would be much easier. my bronco is just for mudding not for car shows or anything of that sorts so quality isnt high priority even tho im taking my time with it.

Good luck, I used the Dupli color and it started flakeing off with in days.

The Dupli-Color I did in my old '92 is going on two years or so... I saw the car today (sold it last year) and the dash (and the few interior pieces I painted) are still looking great. Prep goes a long way.
