Interior Lights Light Intermittently

My interior lights began working intermittently last night. I flicked the little black door botton on the A pillar thinking it may have been stuck. I also tried turning the interior lights on with the dimmer switch without lighting success. Which indicates the door botton is not the problem. The chime will sound while the door is open and the headlights are on- so the botton is functioning. I drove the car this morning and the lights work fine now. Loose ground somewhere? Removed and installed the maplights to replace the sunroof switch in February of '05. Could a bad ground up there cause the all the interior lights to stop working?


Any suggestions?

hmmm that may be a good place to start, but IDK why a fuse didn't blow first...
