Just like the title says im working on a carbon fiber OE police grill not a mocked up one or custom made, an exact replica of the OEM police grill but in carbon fiber, one piece carbon fiber available in 6 different colors (extra 80.00)with the option of color on black weave or color on color weave(no extra charge with the purchase of colors ). prices are gonna be $180.00 shipped $150.00 shipped group buy.

Guys this is only a thread to see if there are any peope interested in doing it.
i posted it here to get opinions and see if we can go forward with this and other cf parts for the SHO's

the prices will change if we can get allot of interest:

10 orders $150.00
15 orders $140.00

I would be interested. I just want to be sure that the part is finished well enough to be painted factory color.

Just out of curiousity, why are you buying it to paint it? It wont save you that much weight if thats your reasoning? I just think you could spend your money on something else a little more practical in a performance aspect.

Oh well. Keep us posted about the grill it sounds like an interesting piece.

Toolman had a company try carbon fiber police grills and I believe they had problems getting them to come out good with all the detail.

i would really question why would you want to paint a cf piece. the looks are what makes the carbon fiber unique. tell me what color is your car, i will try to give you some ideas.

I would rather have one painted and since I cannot find any new police grills in fiberglass, I will just get one this way.

My SHO is red. I would like to be able to buy a new one in fiberglass so I can paint to match the rest of the car, but they don't seem to be available. I will settle for a CF one that I can paint to match.
