Hey folks,
I've been looking into some kind of detonation control lately. I know I'm running fairly mild boost (6lbs), but still it'd be nice to have the piece of mind with a stock compression motor. I may go up to 8 or 9lbs in the future also.
With that said I've been looking into intercoolers lately. I know Tim runs an intercooler but I'm not sure if any of the other guys do. I've done a lot of reseach but there really isn't any solid info on picking the right size, etc. Obviously I don't want to run into too much boost drop, but if an intercooler drops me 2lbs but makes up for it in a denser charge, it may be worth it. What size intercooler are people running on our cars? And do you have any idea how much of a boost drop you're seeing with it?
Also, I've thought about water injection too. I know PanamaPat is running some type of system on his car. Does anyone here have any expierience with this?
