Interceptor grille

I had to take a new one this morning, the others I had looked like crap and last night by the time I went to do it, the flash wasn't enough for how dark it was out already.

There is just vinyl over the emblem, I thought about a sticker, but I really like the blackout look of it.

What lower grille is that? I haven’t ever seen one with horizontal bars on it that match the side inserts.

That's the PI lower.

This is the grille that Tasca shows for the PI. That’s why I was confused.

Interesting... that doesn't even look like it would fit on my car, I bought it on the eBay and it was listed as PI, but it might be the SEL or SE.

I think this was the part number: fo1036155pp

Edited to add: I didn't question it, because I liked the look, plus there was no chrome.

Ok so I found out there was a non chrome package on the Taurus. with that package, you get the grill you have.

Part number is Bumper Grille - Ford (DG1Z-17K945-AA)

After reading this thread I decided to try plasti dip. This insert is on my wish list (https://www.customcargrills.com/Custom-Ford-Taurus-Grills.asp) but just haven't decided on it.

Didn't go full black, painted all 3 horizontal sections and the emblem, I do like some chrome so I'm going to live with this for a few months before deciding what to do.
