I am planning on putting the flowmasters on my 97. Now Im not sure what to do with the intake. I was wondering what everyone's opinion is on the best intake for the buck. I see the K&N cone system shown on v8sho.com looks good, any drawbacks to this? Anything better for the money? Thanks for the input!

Since you live in WI, you'll be sucking a ton of hot air in the hot summer days with a K&N cone filter.
There's very negligible gains from any type of intake for a Gen 3. Go the easy route and install some type of 'porterized' intake that's described at www.v8sho.com. Hardest part will be removing the 'saxocone' from the intake, but once that's off the rest is easy.

Like Wuzzzer siad, with the cone you will only be sucking hot air. I had this on mine and hated it. I got better performace with the stock set up. Only real way to get power is to go with a true cold air intake or a porterized intake. I'm not sure wich will give more power so it's all up to you. If you want to go the cold air way shoot me an E-mail and I'll send you some pix of mine and how to do it.
