just bought another sho, and this one has a cai. I've built my own and tried different things on past cars and always thought that the best i can come up with is stock airbox with a good filter.. that's just butt-dyno'd tho.. what yall think is the best?

I run a stock box with k&n filter, but I have no clue if that is any gain over stock.

Everyone ive heard from says the Stock intake works very well. The one thing i would change would be the ribbed rubber tube with a smooth piece of silicon for a bit of an updated look and cleaner air flow.

If one does REALLY want a CAI start asking around for a SHOshop one and start planing to cut up you fender.

You don't have to cut up your fender to use ANY of the SHOshop CAI's.

since the stock air intake is a cold air intake, there is virtually nothing to be gained.

I once saw a dyno where they ran it with stock air intake and with no air filter at all. only one hp difference - and that is in the margin of error of the dyno for repeatability.
