Intake Runner Porting

Just wonderin' what the best way to tackle this project would be??? I read somethin' where Kirk got some pretty decent gains from porting his runners...any actuall truth/dyno results from this?

I don't think he has substantiated these gains yet. I may be wrong though.

Ask kirk to send you the before and after pictures. His intake inside is smooth as a newborns ass

... and then he had his computer reflashed at the dealer... so now it's only dynoing out at about 189 or so. I think there's bigger gains in boring out the IMRC and going with bigger butterflies.

Want to hear a strange theory... it's all in which PCM you have. I put my old PCM in Kirks car and it was much slower. Put his PCM in mine and it was much faster. I'd like to see a chart that shows PCM versions -vs- dyno hp on a graph. I think you'll see that some PCM versions make more power than others. I know JJK2 sucks, BTW.

well..if I'm going to have everything off for to get "Kirked" assuming a Florida Camfest comes together...is it basically a matter of takin' a dremel to it and takin' out all the casting marks and smoothing everything out?

gains were on MY car a 17hp, and 19tq across the board. Best dollar for dollar mod so far ever produced for the SHO (V8)

Then had a reflash and dynoed a low 198, went back 2 days later and got my 217 (216.9) from the new awl1. so all is back to normal, that was also pushing the 27# rotors and the 36# wheels. But I got that solved * by spending way to much on rotors* (500.00!)

Bigbore butterflies are done, but not tested yet. and my porting wont be redone, except for two people. They know who they are

Ok that sounds good, I could always use 15 or so more hp.... boink boink boink boink
