Intake Question

Hello All,
What is the large hose for, that is located on the back of the rear intake near the clamp that holds the cross over tube (the tube the DIS is on)? What is this hose used for? I doubt it but, is it a vacuum hose?

It runs over to the brake booster. There is a plastic manifold near the master cylinder that feeds the brake booster, cruise control, A/C, etc.
