technically, the sax IS a cold air intake...damn shame it's the size of a vienna sausage. yank off the restrictive portion of the saxocone and call it happy. oh yeah...yank your secondaries while you're at it.
I don't know if we have all come to a consensus or not on this as a whole group, but if you ask me it's not a problem with the secondaries themselves but the problems caused by having it.Sorry.. I have a feeling this might be a dumb question but I really don't know the answer, but whats the point in pulling the secondaries?
Don't forget to use the search bar above. It helps a lot when wanting to know answers.Much appreciated! I was always curious but hesitant to look dumb and ask.
mine's not tuned, and it's been pullin just fine without secondaries for over a year now. the thing is, the secondaries on the V6 intake open a completely different set of runners. on a V8, they pretty much block off one intake valve for whatever stupid reason. basically, the V8 SHO is a 3 valve engine until 3400rpm, and gutting the secondaries solves that problem.
Much appreciated! I was always curious but hesitant to look dumb and ask.
while you may not get FULL benefits without a tune, our ECUs are adaptive and capable of adjusting for the addition of more air into the engine.
