Do you mean the vacuum attachment for the brakes? Back of the intake points out towards the passenger side?

I'm guessing he's talking about the plugs for the EGR passages, which are, I believe, an 8mm Hex.

As for getting it out, you will just have to find a Hex that fits it tightly, and give it some muscle. Be extremely careful with heat, you'll melt the manifold. Make sure if you do use heat that you are heating up the manifold, and not the plug itself.

sorry for lack of info , Yes it is the EGR plug in the back of the intake for getting access in cleaning the carbon out . i have used the torch to heat the aluminum not the steel plug to expand it ,but it will not move. like i stated before im afraid this plug is going to strip out and then im up **** creek. has anybody cracked an intake or stripped out the hex plug before, trying to get it out ???thanks again

all i can say is to get a tight fitting hex and go like **** man. i sat on the floor and used my feet to stabilize the intake, then i put the hex wrench in and pulled like ****. it hurt like a  but i finally got it.

i would have to look at mine to see if the hex sticks out a bit, if it does then I would dremel a slot in it and unscrew it w/ a flathead screwdriver

good luck

i started with the right allen wrench, now its almost going to be a plug with a nice round hole in it. as soon as finally get the nerve to finish stripping this out, i think this cleaning task ,ever through here is over . thanks for all your inputs. i could pull the intake back off and drill the plug out and retap it,but would be another pain in the butt.
