Hello guys,
Using SHOtimes destructions I was able to get the intake off without any trouble at all. My goal is to remove the rest of the engine without a hoist. How do I remove the valve galleries and heads from the block while leaving the block in the engine compartment? I don't want to accidently break any seals (except the headgasket), since I replaced all of them during the 60k service. Your advice would be very valuable to me. Thanks!

Just start dismantling everything. You will have to disconnect the fuel lines, remove the rails, take off the valve covers, then you can see the head bolts and remove the heads

Y-Pipe comes off for head removal, BTW. Also the T-stat housing on the driver's side, upper radiator hose, etc. The timing covers are coming off (front & backplate). Alternator. Coil pack & mount plate can be removed for easier handling.

Randy's got the right idea - start digging. :p

Looks like it's time to send this thread to my printer. Thanks for all the mistakes you helped me avoid.
