Another question/problem guys...the EGR sensored didnt work on the SHO when I bought it and it was bypassed for the 80mm MAF. Now, when I turned on the car and was laying on the intake to see if I had successfully bypassed the heater core, I noticed/remebered the previous owner had stripped a bolt on the EGR valves that bolts to the intake..now I hear a leak...could this be a factor in some really crappy idleing problems I have had even aftering cleaing the IAB..?? Im going to the junkyard tommarow to pull off the intake off a SHO I saw last week and replacing it with the stripped one. Will I get better performance/ildeing wit the one that doesnt leak?

Yes you will. That entire system is what helps maintain your idle with the throttle body closed. It is NECESSARY and recommended to keep the EGR nostrils debris free. That can be done with a coat hanger when you have the throttle body off the intake. It will look like snake nostrils when you look into the opening behind the throttle body.

screw the EGR....get a non cali PCM and cap of the EGR with a thin piece of sheet metal...
Was thinking of doing so...but at the moment the EGR is non-fuctional anyways..i think its a 49-state legal one..does this mean its not make for EGR? since its not hooked up at all or what?

I'm sorry, I don't understand your question..

looks like you are in cali, which I think all SHOs had EGR standard, which was different from the canadian cars with EGR post 93 ATX.

if the EGR equipment is there, it is supposed to be there. removing it is simple. find a non-cali intake, rear exhaust manifold and ECU and remove all the EGR. Or, find an ECU and cap off the intake and exhaust.
