intake blemish

my intake has has a shiny spot because i need new motor mounts, whats the best way to get this looking like stock again?

Replace the motor mounts. Check your SFB as they can leave the same kind of rub marks on the intake. Replace them if necessary.

After that, clean the intake and paint or powdercoat it.

If the "spot" on your intake is more like a gouge, you'll need to replace that intake surge tank. Spare intakes are fairly cheap and removing the intake is easier than it seems. Front 3.2 and 3.0 surge tanks (where it says "SHO") are the same.

if the intake is gauged you can use epoxy to fill, but then you will need to re-paint the intake to make it blend.

Nothing you can really do about the shiny spot. The finish has been damaged.

oh i know i need new mounts and im getting extreme ones first, i just wanted to know how to repaint it.

BUT! i just realized...i have a 91 parts car and i didnt think it would work cause it is EGR, but i will just use the front tube that is normal that says SHO on it, not the rear with the EGR in it. thanks for the help anyway thumb
