Intake and runners

Anyone ever have their intake chromed...or know how much something like that would cost...i mean i know a lot have the polish but i love the look or a crich chrome

I am not sure if it can be done since the intake is aluminum. There is a chrome looking powdercoat though that is very close.

It can get as much as $500 but you can call aorund and it can run aorund $200-$400 depending on what color and what they do for masking.

you can get a ceramic coating that looks very similar to chrome. I believe Bizzy has her intake with that type of coating.

Matt, I believe thats powercoat chrome finish. You can have powercoat finishes look just like chrome.

I dunno, I just remember him saying he was going to chrome the supercharger, so I assumed he meant actual chrome.. and I just assumed that's what he did with the intake..

Bob, is that you on the right in that pic? :wave:

Yeah im thinking the above pic is ACTUAL chrome, and looks very nice, but mine is in the process of being completely polished right now. When it is done, he is going to clearcoat it, so it will be painless to clean it. :)

I talked to Rick the owner of the above chromed SHO. It is chrome. It cost a few hundred to do it.

Someone needs to tell him to polish/chrome his maf and throttle body. If I had thought of it while I was at the convention, I would have told him.
