I just did the bearings on my car (as some of you may know, i put up like 3 posts about it so far) and i would like to keep them in check by putting in a preasure guage. I just need to know how and where to hook up the oil tube on the engine side. Anyone want 0to help me figure this one out?

I use a male-male adaptor to a "T" fitting on the stock oil pressure idiot light sender on the back of the block.

with 5w30 oil: cold at idle, 65. warm at idle, 9-11. warm at 2K RPM, 40. these are recent figures from bearings replaced 4 months ago.

EDIT: 4 months = 6K miles

my engine is just about to turn 130K, when it does, im gonna park it and overhaul the heads. im thinking of switching to 10w30 because of the immense heat were having down here in Texas at the time. gawd, if i were to put 0w30 in there, i dont think id have very good oil pressure at all.

The first number of the SAE viscosity index is for COLD oil. After the engine reaches operating temperature, the second number of the VII is what is important.

OW30 would still have the same viscosity as SAE 30 at operating temps, same as 5W30 or 10W30.

FWIW, Ford suggests 5W30 for the SHO engines as being adequate for normal service usage in all climates. They came out with a TSB back in 98 or so about it.
