trans. temp., and volts.
Is it OK to run the power wire for each gauge to the pink/white wire at the fuse panel in the engine compartment?... its the wire that Paul suggests splicing into to power the VAK.

2. Would I need inline fuses for the said power wire to each gauge?

3. How do you get the blasted headlight switch **** off? Do you have to pry it off once it is in the on position and pulled out? Feels like it is going to break... Is there an easier way to tap into lighting for the gauges?

You probably will break the switch taking it out. But it will still set in there OK. By far the easiest place to get lighting power would be from the IC panel wiring. Piece of cake to take it out. If the only power you need is for the lighting I would not use a fuse.

On one of the IC connectors there is a dark blue and white wire on the end. This is for the IC lighting.

is the pink/white wire at the engine compartment fuse panel acceptable to power the gauges themselves? Would I still need an inline fuse for each power wire?
