This link says that the car should be on a wheel lift when welding. I've read in numerous other threads that it should be on a chassis lift and not a wheel lift. Which is the proper way?

I have no hands on experience installing subframe connectors but common sense tells me a 'drive on' lift is needed for installation.

When I was looking to install mine, I found exactly what you are talking about. I don't remember which I ended up doing on mine, and to be honest I am not sure if it really makes a differance in performance. They are to keep the body from twisting/flexing, so once they are welded in they are holding the body rigid in whatever position it is in.

They are a great mod for anyone who plans on doing any performance driving. There was a very noticable difference after they were installed.

Where do you live in Ontario? I have built and installed at least 15 sets between my house and SHONUT's house in Cornwall. I have either used a lift or jack stands placed in equally spaced out distances to make sure everything was exactly even prior to install. Then used a jack or tranny jack to hold them up against the body to weld them on.
