Yes, we are still ironing out the details of the new SHO Club website, as well as the SHO Convention/Carfest Registration website. Michelle Hartlmeier and I had a productive conference call with Jason Kennedy of Autointerests yesterday evening. He too is a bit behind with his revamped Autointerest and Carfest websites. I have again included them below for your reference.

Important Things to Know!

· If you wish to drive with fellow SHO owners, we are planning on Sunday being the day that the SHO Club folks will run, so sign up for the HPDE @ PittRace on Sunday September 6, 2020.

· Jason informed us that the HPDE Track Days at Carfest and PittRace are the first events to fill up. Saturday is the day that fills first, followed by Sunday.

· As of Thursday 3/5/2020, there were only 10 Novice spots remaining, and only 20 (out of 40) Intermediate spots remaining!

· Unlike other years, all Registration for the HPDE Track Days at Carfest are at the Autointerests website.

· If you are interested in joining us at the HPDE on Sunday, Sign Up Now!!

· One other point to know. It’s been over 2 years since I ran with Autointerests. After I logged in, my Run Group was Unassigned, even though I had run Intermediate in the past.

o From the website: “If you are new to AutoInterests, your account is defaulted to the First-Timer run group. To be approved for a higher level, please email [email protected] with your driving experience.”

o You need to get your Run Group established BEFORE you can Register for the Track Day!

Signing up for the HPDE Track Day at Carfest is independent from the SHO Convention or Carfest Registration, so make sure that you do it NOW!!

I am interested in attending the event, but I have never driven on a track before.
I visited the website and created an account.
The only Run Group option I have for Sunday is "First Timer + $29."

Do I need to complete the full day Acclimation Program?
If so, perhaps I can register for the event and then complete the Acclimation Program before the Car fest?

Your advice is appreciated.

Yes, definitely do the First Timer and the Novice Acclimation program. They do a great job of instructing for people who are new to track days. Near the end of the track day, I believe that they then have the Acclimation folks run in the Novice group.

The only way to complete the First Timer and Acclimation program is to sign up for an AutoInterests Track Day before the weekend.

There's also a track day on both Friday and Saturday. You could sign up for Friday, and do your Acclimation. And also sign up for Sunday in Novice. You would need to send an email to Andrea at Events to get your Run Group updated for Sunday, but that's easy.

I have never met anyone who has done a Track Day, and didn't want to do more. They're great!
