Yep, there is a reason I run Castrol Edge in the gold bottle.

Also it looks like I will be swapping in 4 quarts or ULV into my trans next fluid swap as well.

Yea Castrol Edge Titanium is real cheap at walls mart and its best for low ppm of blow by gunk from our increased cylinder pressures caused by red light show downs, and maybe a turbo or 2

Shouldnt run a lower viscosity oil in an automatic transmission. To someone who dosnt know how they work they would think thinner is better yea. No there are small spots in that transmission that create the pressure it needs from the viscosity alone such as the valve body. Lowering the viscosity to the valve body which controls the fluid to the torque converter will make it not lock when it needs to because of pressure.
You need to run what the transmission was designed and developed for, you want to run something different than crack her open and redesign it for something different. Im sure shoblock can tell you all about it as ive used him a good bit for very detailed info. Same reason our engines are to only run 5w30 and nothing different, coming from shoblock.

6F55 is a crappy transmission after talks with Raybesto they agree. They have internal issues with testing on the friction clutch packs. I hope they become something one day but probably not. These transmissions aint getting any younger

So this is my first hearing about your discussion with Raybestos and issues with the friction plates. When did this happen? What lead to this discussion with them? What were the points of discussion? Did you post this already and I missed it? I've had extensive conversations with them as well and haven't heard any of this.

Right after contacting you awhile back as i have a new 6f55 unit ready to install and would like to do work to it before installing. Found their contact email on their site and simply asked when i can expect to buy

Curious as to why everyone is picking 4 quarts, why not whatever comes out, goes back in with ULV?
I did just to be safe, she holds a total of 12, and not to thin it out to much I figured 4 qts being 33% of capacity, I wouldn't be overdoing it. And I can't remember but there is a line that is notorious for coming off in tranny under high load. And after 6 months tranny is behaving just fine. I still will have dealer do a whole flush every 20,000. My interceptor has 165,000 now on original tranny, and I contribute that to constant fluid changes. And i treat that car with abuse. Original ptu too just seals replaced. It gets new oil every 10,000.

Hey dood. stay away from Yellow coolant dood. Run what your manual says, the orange. Pay the extra for it.
Brake pads are EBC Yellow Stuff
Where is good place to get or order Ebc pads and rotors or what rotor should I get with the ebc greens also?

Yellow? Red?
Yellow is what you would want from ebc. Honestly, if you’re worried about stopping power, the motorcraft semi metallic pads are pretty damn good. I’m not sure what the deal is with the PP pads, because when I ordered them last Ford sent me an email saying they’ve been superseded with the blue backed severe duty, or whatever, pads.

They’re solid though. I was on the highway a couple weeks ago doing ~90mph and some j a c k o f f swerved over into my lane to try and pass the guy in front of him cutting me off with at most 1 car length (classic FIP move). He wasn’t going 90 either, so I had to stand on the brakes, and they brought that pig down from 90 to ~55 right now. Fast enough to avoid an accident, thankfully. Incidentally, that also confirmed I did my brakes right lol.

As far as rotors, I went with r1 concepts, but I know a lot of guys like the power stops as well. The MC pads, r1 rotors, and dominator brake fluid (probably unnecessary for non track use, but I’d rather have the higher boiling points and not need them…ya know?) saved my ass, probably the other guys as well, and my car. so as far as recommendations go, you can’t go wrong with that set up.
