I thought the original Vancouver was one of those salty English sea dogs, not an American. ;)

Oh, and I am switching coasts in the fall, as we will be moving west, likely to end up on Vancouver Island. All these Vancouvers are confusing...

OK, I will look into changing the icon thing. I think it requires some strange size though, and the first time I tried it the software was rejecting every photo I had, even ones that had been cut down to very small pixel sizes and been used as icons in other places, so I make no promises.

Dieter is a fine looking fellow though. :)

:snicker: I'm razzing you! Yes he was a old salty sailor. But has for the City of, The US had to kick some British Butt numerous times. Back in the 1800's, we kicked it up passed the 49th parallel. The people that kicked the Crown's a*s stayed below the 49th and the ones that kissed it stayed above the 49th! So much for the history of the Vancouver's!

I run green lights in my fishtanks and the corners, and amber inbetween.

Ok well I figured it out and got them changed. Do I need to re-aligne the headlights now? I just took out the 3 bolts holding em and loosend the pinch bolt and slid em out. Besides that I didn't mess with any other bolt on em.

State law over rules DOT specs. And yellow headlights are legal in Illinois.

Tell that to a truck Driver.. who get DOT'd in your state...... "States can not change the intend of the fedral law... only make it more strict" ... last time I checked.

But, then again.. they say its not illegal util you are caught..... LOL

I have yet to ever see cars get inspected by the Fed DOT. Trucks are regulated by Fed DOT under the Interstate Commerce Commission's regulations on commercial vehicles.

I specifically asked the Illinois Secretary of State's office

1. if FED DOT superseded Illinois law. A. No, not on private non-commercial vehicles

and

2. if clear turn signals and side markers were illegal in Illinois. A. No

Now I am not saying that outside Illinois this is the case. But just as it is not illegal for a Florida registered car to have tint on the front windows, which is illegal in Illinois, when in Illinois, the same will go for my clear turn signals, when in other states.

If you got a ticket for the clear turn signals and your vehicle is registered in the state that the ticket was written in then it will clearly have a reference to the law violated by section number. Otherwise call a lawyer and tell the Man to leave you alone.

Check you states vehicle code. Not illegal in Illinois which states any color from white to amber. I have the '99 lenses in mine with some PIAA blue coated white light bulbs.

Paul, where did you get the '99 lenses from? Thanks
