I got some cool lights for my fishtanks. They are HYPER LEDs (very durable, strong, and long lasting) that light up when you turn on the headlights while the car is on, but flash when the car is off to go along with my alarm LEDs. Thing is, I need to connect it to an ignition switch. I tried doing it to what I thought was the ignition switch on my stereo, but apparently it's not an ignition switch, I have no idea why. Is there another ignition switch that is easily acceptible. I find myself pretty savvy with stereos, so I don't understand why this isn't working. I'm just too lazy to think about it anymore. I was thinking maybe something in the fuse box that I could put my wire into too? YES, I've resorted to being that lazy. I basically need something that gives current when the car is turned ON and will turn off when the car is off (hence, ignition switch)... I've fumbled with the fishtank problem before. I actually have fishtanks now, but I can't get them to blink when the ignition switch is in the "OFF" position. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Well I hooked up my SHO emblem to the control that turns on the headlights. It is a blue with red stripe wire. It can be found connecting to the remote stereo controls (there are 2 one works one doesnt), the clock, and the guages. I ran mine from the remote radio controls cause they are useless. They will trun on with your headlights and parking lights if I am correct. The thing is though is that you will need to run it to a relay first then the healights otherwise you will blow a fuse as the lights you are talking about run at hight current.

Guess I'll just live with basic red fishtanks. It really does look cool though. Almost has a possessed look to it
