So my SHo is for sale and i've been driving my new car instead (95 thunderbird sc) and I took the sho for a drive today, and discovered a problem. When i gave it more than about a quarter throttle, it acted like it didn't want to run, it was choppy, it backfired, and it had no power. the problem is less severe at higher RPM's, and it disappeared once the car was warmed up, except under full throttle, then it still runs like it's missing, and it backfires. Does anyone have any ideas as to why it might do this? I have to get it sold before i get buried under too many bills, and i can't sell it like this, so i have to get it fixed. Help!! :(

First, check the plugs and wires. This is a common problem. If you have a lot of oil in your plug wells, that could be it.

Checked the wells, when my dad and i washed out the engine bay and detailed it, a lot of oil, water, grime and simple green got in the plug wells. I cleaned it out as best i could, hopefully that did it. thanks.
