Long story short, I had to replace my upper steering column collar (the one with the ignition cylinder and the tilt), its all back together except for the ignition parts which for the life of me I cannot figure out the alignment. I took them out and tried to put them back in the same order, to no avail. Does anyone have any hints they can give me so I can finall button up this project!

the cylinder itself might have been turned and it only goes in in the right postion. There is the litle alignment key(the rise on the cylinder) that you need to align and you have to have the key in the on position(I think) and then it will slide right in(at least it should).
Hope this helps...

I got the cylinder to lock in but now I cannot turn the key at all. Did I mis-align the gears inside the cylinder or is something jammed??

Problem solved.

When re-installing the two bolts that the upper collar pivots on, the bushing was smaller than the head of the bolt so it ended up pushing the bushing into the ignition arm, hense freezing it.

all fixed ... 91: Thanks for the info, at 1:30 I wasn't thinking clearly. When I took out the cylinder it was lined up differently than when I reinstalled thats what was throwing me for a loop.

Thanks guys
