I am putting a 5 inch tach in my car and the instructions sucked so im wondering if anyone knows were the ignition control module is because the wires coming of the ignition coils didnt give a signal.?

The ignition control module is the grey module mounted on the passenger side intake end tube. It has wiring clips on both sides. Not sure which color wire is tach but a wiring schematic from a Mitchell's or something should tell you.

I believe the tach signal comes off of the PCM. Pin 4, a tan and yellow wire.

There should be a service wire there to connect a tach to.

Solder a needle (or just tie it on there) onto the input wire from your tach, then ***** the insulation of the wires in question. If you find the correct wire, the needle of the tach will jump to 1000. (or whatever the idle rpm happens to be.)
