hey guys is there a ignition coil resistor on this car? I just found a thingy in my trunk its picture is below but the part number on the resistor is F3DF-18801-aa-648
To me clearly a SHO part number but hey I could be wrong. If anyone can help identify this and let me know where exactly it goes I'd appreciate it. I have searched both the forum and the manual using several different keywords and according to ford that part number does not exist, another clear sign its goes on my car hahahaha:/

Yes there is. Your resistor mounts to the coil top using the rear left mounting bolt of the coil. Look for the connector to plug in to a connector that appears where the plug wires are routed, the the right of the coil.

its a "noise suppression coil" to help cut down on possible "whine" or "static" through the stereo.

it is not required, and if your stereo isn't making any noise, you don't really need to worry about it unless you really want to.

it is to cut down the noise from the spark plug firing. if you have a buzz at engine rpm (that goes up and down in frequency as the engine speed goes up and down) then the noise suppression capacitor is bad.

it is not a resistor or a coil, it is a capacitor.
